“Coaches Can Read Too”
I personally never believed that coaches were illiterate or that that stereotype ever existed. This may be because I grew up in a community where many coaches were teachers. My Chemistry teacher in high school was a coach and he sure is brilliant. According to this article, coaches set goals, develop a strong working relationship, develop solutions to achieve goals, manage processes or steps, and help achieve the desired outcome. I was also surprised to learn that they have their own form of literacy and these are the main qualities to effective coaching:
